3 DAY PRIVATE GAME LODGE EXPERIENCE

ElephantLioness and Cub By choosing the Private Game Lodge option, you will be experiencing the African Bush in secluded luxury.
The Private game lodges are situated in the Timbavati, Manyeleti and Sabi Sands Game reserves. They all share the western borders of the Kruger Park. There are no fences separating the private lodges and the Kruger, so animals can roam freely between the two. Unlike the camps in the Kruger, which are fenced, most of the lodges in the private reserves are not fenced so animals often wander around the camps!
With most of the safari lodges situated near rivers or waterholes, one can view animals coming to the water without even leaving the camp!
The daily program of the Private lodges is full and fascinating; most of the time is taken up with game viewing. Guests enjoy an early morning game drive accompanied by an armed game ranger and experienced tracker. Your ranger will stop in the bush for early morning tea and biscuits.
For the more energetic, rangers take small groups of guests for walking safaris. On these walks you will get to discover the wonders of the prolific bird, insect and plant life of the veld.
The evening game drive is exhilarating, as once the sunsets the ranger uses the spotlight to search for the elusive night predators and other nocturnal animals. When the sun begins to set, your ranger will stop for sundowners. Dinners are normally served under a star-studded sky.
Nightcaps around the campfire are enjoyed to the eternal sounds of Africa - the roar of a cat, the cackling of a hyena, and the unending symphony of frogs and crickets. The private game lodge experience is unique; it offers an elegant blend of the sophisticated and the primordial! ...more

“KRUGER TO THE CAPE” SCENIC SAFARI

Cango Caves
Whales at Hermanus
With its majestic Table Mountain backdrop, Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Between the high-rise office blocks, Edwardian and Victorian buildings have been meticulously preserved, and many outstanding examples of Cape Dutch architecture are found. Narrow, cobble stone streets and the strongly Islamic ambiance of the Bo-Kaap enhance the cosmopolitan ambiance of the city.
Cape Town shopping options invite you to endlessly browse. Elegant shopping malls such as the Victoria Wharf at the V&A Waterfront, where antique shops, craft markets, flea markets and art galleries abound. Specialist boutiques offer an enticing array of unusual items not readily obtainable elsewhere. Gourmets and lovers of fine wines have a treat in store, with the Constantia Winelands producing some of the finest wines worldwide
There is a narrow coastal plain stretching some 250 km from the town of George in the west to the eastern limits of the Tsitsikamma Mountains. This is known as the Garden Route. The traveler will traverse a region where nature has bestowed her many riches with a generous abundance, so that the “garden’ can be likened to Eden! Because the climate is mild and enjoys all year rainfall the countryside is always green, and there are always flowers to be seen alongside the road! Primordial forests still clothe the slopes of the mountains and the deep valleys of the garden route. The coastline is sheer with outcrops of different rock types interspersed with small bays and occasionally long stretches of beaches. Whales, especially the Southern Right and the Pigmy, visit these shores in summer and calve in the calm waters of Plettenberg bay. Dolphins can be seen all year round along the coastline!
This tour combines the pristine beauty of the garden route and the city of Cape Town with the wilderness of the Kruger National Park! ...more

2 DAY PILANESBERG GAME RESERVE SAFARI

Elephant
Bakubang Lodge
The North West Province offers an escape route to the real Africa... a land of peace and tranquility where nature's wild creatures roam vast plains of scenic African bushveld...
Home to the fantastic Pilanesberg and Madikwe game reserves, North West Province has the big five, fantastic bird-life and wide-open African skies with the added bonus of being Malaria Free.
"The Volcano that gave birth to a game reserve"
The crater of a long extinct volcano is the setting of Pilanesberg National Park - a fascinating alkaline complex produced by volcanic eruptions some 1300 million years ago. Pilanesberg is one of the largest volcanic complexes of its kind in the world. Its rare rock types and structure make it a unique geological feature.
Pilanesberg has survived ages of erosion and stands high above the surrounding bushveld plains. The early presence of man can be seen in the numerous Stone and Iron Age sites that are scattered throughout the park.
.
The creation of the Pilanesberg National Park is considered one of the most ambitious programmes of its kind to be undertaken anywhere in the world. The Operation Genesis, which involved the game-fencing of the reserve and the reintroduction of long-vanished species, began during the late 70's.
Today, Pilanesberg National Park accommodates virtually every mammal of southern Africa including the Big Five.

Experience a true “African Big Five Safari” just 2 hours from Johannesburg in a non malaria area.  Tucked in the expanses of the malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park, Bakubung lodge/hotel, or the People of the Hippo, provides guests with the peace and tranquility of a true bush experience coupled with luxury and service. ...more
